Is it one on one or pre-recorded?
My program is private and one on one. This page does not list pricing, because it can change. Take the free Fear Score and the current options are shared directly with you.
How long does it take?
It is a short daily practice of a few minutes a day over a few weeks, followed by a simulation phase in realistic rooms. Results vary by individual, and the pace depends on the person.
Is it CBT, and is it therapy?
I apply cognitive behavioral protocols inside a coaching program. It is coaching, not therapy and not medical care. I am a coach, not a clinician, and Public Speaking Cure does not diagnose or treat clinical anxiety disorders.
Does it work?
99.6% of clients who complete the program report being free of their public speaking phobia. That reflects what clients report, not an independent study, and results vary by individual. For the full picture, see the page on whether Public Speaking Cure is legitimate.
Why not use free resources or a speaking club?
Free exercises, speaking clubs, breathing and calming techniques, positive thinking, and more rehearsal all go after the symptoms. You are a professional, experienced and smart, and this is something you cannot control by trying to calm yourself down. Logic does not work on a phobia. In my experience, none of it removes the fear. The work is at the root: the amygdala having public speaking in its database.
Why Robert Summa
Robert lived with public speaking fear for about 18 years, beginning with a panic attack at 25 in a New York boardroom he expected to hold 15 people and that held 75.
